Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Software Engineer / Software Architect to support the development of mission-critical web applications in a fast-paced Agile and DevSecOps environment. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack applications that support high-priority national security missions.
The ideal candidate has strong Java development experience, enjoys working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and is passionate about building scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java web applications
Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
Implement software architecture and design best practices
Develop and consume RESTful web services
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps initiatives
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and iterative development activities
Write unit and integration tests using automated testing frameworks
Review requirements and assist with solution design and technical planning
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues
Contribute to software documentation, testing, and deployment activities
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong Java/JEE development experience
Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
Experience developing full-stack web applications
Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with REST APIs and JSON/XML
Familiarity with software architecture and design principles
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
