Job Description
Longeviti, LLC is seeking a part-time Business Development professional responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing new business opportunities that support Longeviti LLC's strategic growth objectives in the federal government contracting marketplace. This position supports the full business development lifecycle, including market research, opportunity identification and qualification, customer engagement, competitive analysis, teaming, capture support, and coordination with proposal development.
Working with company leadership and operational personnel, the Business Development professional will help expand Longeviti's presence in existing markets and identify opportunities in adjacent federal agencies and mission areas. The position requires an understanding of federal acquisition practices, strong relationship-building skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable growth opportunities.
This is a hybrid/remote position that requires independent work, regular virtual collaboration, and periodic in-person attendance at customer and corporate meetings, conferences, networking events, and other business development activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and develop new federal government contracting opportunities aligned with Longeviti's capabilities, strategic priorities, and growth objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging requirements, agency priorities, acquisition trends, competitors, potential team partners, and prospective customers.
- Monitor federal procurement sources and opportunity pipelines to identify solicitations, Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought notices, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other acquisition opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a qualified business development pipeline and provide regular updates regarding opportunity status, probability, next actions, and potential value.
- Support opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid recommendations based on strategic fit, customer knowledge, competitive position, capabilities, resources, and probability of award.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with federal customers, contracting personnel, industry partners, prime contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate customer engagement activities designed to strengthen Longeviti's understanding of agency missions, requirements, challenges, and acquisition strategies.
- Support capture planning for priority opportunities, including competitive assessments, win strategies, teaming strategies, customer analysis, and solution development.
- Identify prospective teaming partners and support the development of strategic relationships that strengthen Longeviti's competitive position.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, operations, recruiting, contracts, finance, and other functional areas to evaluate and pursue new business opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with proposal personnel to support compliant, responsive, and competitive proposal submissions.
- Assist with the development of capability statements, presentations, white papers, responses to RFIs and Sources Sought notices, and other business development materials.
- Maintain accurate and current opportunity, customer, partner, and pipeline information within company business development and customer relationship management systems.
- Track relevant federal contract vehicles, recompetes, task orders, agency forecasts, and acquisition activity.
- Represent Longeviti at industry conferences, networking events, customer meetings, matchmaking events, and other business development forums.
- Support the development and execution of annual and long-range business development strategies.
- Monitor business development performance indicators and provide leadership with pipeline forecasts, opportunity assessments, and recommendations.
- Protect company proprietary, competitive, customer, and acquisition-sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Longeviti's corporate growth objectives.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in business development, capture management, federal contracting, proposal development, account management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of the federal government contracting and acquisition environment.
- Knowledge of the federal business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture, teaming, proposal development, and post-submission activities.
- Familiarity with federal procurement resources and market intelligence tools used to identify and evaluate contracting opportunities.
- Experience conducting market, customer, and competitive research and translating findings into business development strategies.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with government customers, industry partners, prime contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and external customers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities, and deadlines with limited supervision in a hybrid/remote work environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, discretion, and sound professional judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM), opportunity tracking, or business intelligence platforms is preferred.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, civilian federal agencies, or other federal government customers is preferred.
- Knowledge of small-business federal contracting programs, contract vehicles, teaming arrangements, and government acquisition strategies is preferred.
- Experience working within an 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, or other small-business government contracting environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel periodically based on customer and business requirements.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Security clearance is not required at the time of hire unless dictated by specific customer or opportunity requirements. The employee must be eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate U.S. Government security clearance when required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, Government Contracting, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant professional experience may be considered.
