Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration & Test Engineer to support mission-critical software applications and enterprise middleware platforms within a highly secure government environment.
This role is responsible for software integration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities supporting enterprise services and command-and-control applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing systems.
This position offers the opportunity to work on new development efforts, modernization initiatives, and advanced technologies supporting critical national security missions.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate, deploy, configure, and test enterprise software applications.
Support and maintain Oracle WebLogic middleware environments and Java-based applications.
Deploy software releases across development, test, staging, and production environments.
Design and execute integration, regression, functional, and system-level testing.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites.
Troubleshoot deployment failures, application errors, and middleware issues through root cause analysis.
Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Monitor services running within Kubernetes environments.
Perform software validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
Coordinate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects.
Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and development activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, deployment procedures, and reports.
Ensure compliance with security standards and system hardening requirements.
Support production releases and operational sustainment efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field.
5+ years of experience supporting software integration, testing, deployment, or middleware administration.
Active Top Secret security clearance.
Experience deploying and troubleshooting Java-based enterprise applications.
Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic environments.
Experience working within Linux operating systems.
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies.
Experience with Docker.
Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting software integration issues.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
Understanding of networking concepts, application servers, APIs, and web services.
Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Experience supporting command-and-control or mission-critical systems.
Experience with JBoss, Apache Tomcat, or similar middleware platforms.
Experience with Rancher, OpenShift, Helm, or Helmfile.
Experience developing automated tests using JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, or similar tools.
Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Knowledge of DevSecOps software factory concepts.
