Reports to: Facility Manager (FM)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrician maintains and repairs electrical systems; standby electrical power generation equipment; HVAC equipment; fire and security alarm systems; appliances; elevator controls; and assists with minor mechanical support of vehicles.
The GSO or the Building Operations Specialist (in the capacity of work leader) may assign other maintenance tasks within the employee’s competence as necessary.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Performs routine maintenance and repair, scheduled preventative maintenance, and testing of electrical distribution systems, circuits, and equipment. Arranges with FM Moscow for periodic testing and evaluation of backup electrical systems.
Installs and renovates electrical systems and individual components thereof in compliance with applicable US codes.
Maintains records of work accomplished, parts used, and updates as-built drawings.
Advises and assists the GSO regarding procurement of related parts, supplies, and equipment and engagement of outside contractors for projects involving the electrical system.
Inspects electrical work performed by outside contractors to assure proper practices and contract compliance, reporting findings to the contracting officer.
Determines necessary spare parts and expendable supply requirements and manages stock to include reorder as required.
Travels to local venders as necessary to procure materials; participates in random procurement process as necessary; uses petty cash when necessary.
Provides escort as necessary for locally employeed staff and non-cleared contractors.
Backs-up other contract support services technical staff as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Licensed journeyman electrician with minimum five years experience in electrical maintenance/ construction trades. Must be able to work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers’ operation and maintenance manuals.
Must be 21 years of age or older, hold a valid driver’s license and have completed secondary school or obtained a GED. A Top Secret security clearance is required.
Overseas living and working experience are desirable.
