Job Summary

We are seeking a Cyber Tools Lead (CTL) to join our team. In this role, you will oversee subject matter experts and technical personnel who provide direct information technology assistance to Government clients. This person should have strong talent for project coordination, delegation, and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Cyber Tools Lead (CTL)

• Serve as lead responsible for the technical leadership, coordination, integration, configuration, optimization, and lifecycle management of cybersecurity tools and supporting technologies utilized.


• Ensure cybersecurity tools are effectively designed, deployed, integrated, maintained, and optimized to support the Government's cybersecurity, risk management, vulnerability management, assessment, compliance, and security operations requirements.


• Serve as the primary contractor technical lead and subject matter expert for cybersecurity tools and shall provide technical direction to personnel supporting cybersecurity tool engineering, administration, integration, and sustainment activities.


• Lead the architecture, engineering, integration, deployment, configuration, operation, maintenance, and optimization of Government cybersecurity tools and supporting technologies.


• Provide technical leadership and oversight to cybersecurity engineers, tool administrators, developers, and other contractor personnel supporting cybersecurity tool activities.


• Develop and maintain cybersecurity tool architecture, design documentation, deployment plans, configuration standards, integration requirements, operational procedures, and maintenance plans.


• Evaluate cybersecurity tools and technologies to determine their ability to meet Government security, technical, operational, and mission requirements.


• Coordinate the integration of cybersecurity tools with enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, databases, identity services, security platforms, ticketing systems, dashboards, and other Government systems.


• Ensure cybersecurity tools are configured and maintained in accordance with applicable Federal cybersecurity requirements, Department policies, Government security standards, vendor guidance, and approved technical baselines.


• Lead technical planning and implementation activities associated with cybersecurity tool upgrades, migrations, modernization, replacement, and technology refresh initiatives.


• Ensure cybersecurity tools remain current, supported, securely configured, appropriately licensed, and capable of meeting Government operational requirements.


• Coordinate testing and validation of new tools, capabilities, configurations, integrations, upgrades, patches, and releases prior to implementation within production environments.


• Identify and resolve technical issues affecting cybersecurity tool availability, performance, data quality, interoperability, scalability, and security.


• Develop and maintain integrations, APIs, connectors, data feeds, automation, and other mechanisms necessary to exchange cybersecurity information between Government systems and tools.


• Ensure cybersecurity tools provide accurate, reliable, and actionable security information to support vulnerability management, security assessments, continuous monitoring, compliance reporting, risk management, incident response, threat detection, and other cybersecurity functions.


• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, metrics, reports, and automated workflows that provide Government stakeholders with visibility into cybersecurity posture, vulnerabilities, risks, compliance, and operational performance.


• Monitor cybersecurity tool performance, availability, capacity, and utilization and recommend improvements necessary to maintain or enhance operational effectiveness.


• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive cybersecurity processes, improve data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase the efficiency of cybersecurity operations.


• Coordinate cybersecurity tool requirements and activities with system owners, ISSOs, security engineers, network teams, cloud teams, application teams, enterprise architects, cybersecurity operations personnel, and other Government-designated stakeholders.


• Support cybersecurity tool security assessments, authorization activities, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, change management, and continuous monitoring requirements.


• Maintain technical documentation, configuration information, inventories, licenses, dependencies, interfaces, and other records associated with Government cybersecurity tools.


• Assess the impact of proposed infrastructure, application, cloud, or architectural changes on cybersecurity tools and associated integrations.


• Identify technical risks, dependencies, capability gaps, end-of-life technologies, and other issues that may affect the Government's cybersecurity tool environment and provide recommended mitigation strategies.


• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and capabilities and provide technical recommendations regarding potential adoption, integration, consolidation, or replacement of existing cybersecurity tools.


• Support cybersecurity tool acquisition and technical evaluation activities, including development and review of technical requirements, specifications, capability assessments, proofs of concept, and technical evaluation criteria.


• Ensure cybersecurity tool activities are coordinated with applicable enterprise architecture, configuration management, change control, security engineering, and cybersecurity governance processes.


• Provide cybersecurity tool status, performance metrics, technical risks, capability gaps, accomplishments, and recommendations to the COR and other Government-designated personnel as required.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Secret


• Bachelor's degree or higher


• 10 years of professional experience


• Experience supporting programs or projects supporting cyber, IT, or defense systems


• Must be a US citizen

Desired:

• Experience supporting a client with disperse workforce in a variety of locations
