Job Description
Recro is seeking a Software Engineer to support a program supporting the U.S. Air Force. The Software Engineer will develop, enhance, integrate, and sustain mission-critical software applications within a complex DoD environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on Java development experience along with JavaScript and Ansible and will be comfortable working within modern Agile/DevSecOps development environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical software applications.
- Develop backend components and server-side application logic primarily using Java.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
- Develop and integrate JavaScript-based application components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, integration issues, and performance problems.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Develop automated deployment and configuration capabilities using Ansible .
- Collaborate with platform, data, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile development activities, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Support CI/CD and automated software deployment processes.
- Ensure applications meet security, scalability, performance, and reliability requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of Software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting production software applications.
- Understanding of modern software-development practices and source control.
