Software Developer
Location: Dulles, VA – Onsite
Clearance: TS
Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Developer to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software supporting national security missions. The ideal candidate has experience developing complex software systems and working in a collaborative, Agile environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate full-stack software across OS, platform, and mission-specific layers.
Develop client/server applications using microservices, object-oriented, and event-driven architectures.
Develop and maintain software using Python, C++, PostgreSQL, Ansible, and cloud technologies.
Support software integration, testing, test automation, and deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues impacting ground system operations.
Install, configure, and maintain software across development, test, and operational environments.
Identify and remediate software defects and implement enhancements based on mission requirements.
Support launch and launch rehearsal activities.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering, DevOps, and Test teams.
Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Basic Qualifications
Experience developing and integrating complex software systems.
Experience with microservices and event-driven/async messaging architectures.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Experience across the full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, and testing.
1–2+ years of Python or experience with another object-oriented language such as C++, Java, or C#.
1–2+ years of Docker or Podman experience.
Experience with Git, GitLab, or CI/CD tools.
2+ years of Agile/Scrum/SAFe experience.
Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
