Standard Job Description

This position is for a Chief Engineering Manager for the JASSM program in the Strike Systems program area. The successful candidate will report to the JASSM Development Chief Engineer programmatically and be expected to work closely with the other members of the JASSM Chief Engineering staff to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate lessons learned, as well as other Strike Systems Chief Engineers to ensure cross program collaboration.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the JASSM AGM-158A/B/B-2 Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical leadership that enables the team to meet and demonstrate all milestones on schedule
• Providing Technical and Programmatic leadership/oversight on the development enhancements for the AGM-158A, AGM-158B, and AGM-158B-2 JASSM variants across both USG and FMS customers.
• Providing leadership/oversight for the alternative engine engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contract
• Providing leadership/oversight for the multi-year JASSM software contracts
• Shaping the AGM-158 alternative supplier strategy and capturing development contracts to support munitions acceleration production capacities
• Developing a productive partnership and trusting relationship with the USG customer
• Guiding Engineering team, IPT leads and cross-functional teams in program planning, scheduling, trade studies, design concepts, verification, and critical life cycle reviews
• Ensuring program staffing is appropriate from an E&T perspective
• Collaborating with Engineering Excellence management to ensure program milestones are successfully completed
• Supporting and leading program technical reviews and participating in monthly E&T meetings, staff meetings, and other critical program activities
• Communicating lessons learned and ensuring synergy across tasks with the entire Chief Engineer staff

Basic Qualifications

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, with existing professional experience
• Ten years of experience
• Experience and demonstrated skillset with Missile systems design and development
• Must possess ability to plan and lead the technical teams/efforts associated with Complex Missile Systems
• Candidate will be required to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the USG customer
• Must be available for occasional domestic travel
• Candidate must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain program level clearance

Desired Skills

• An advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is desired
• Prior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desired
• Candidate should have wide experience/familiarity in collaborating with the Engineering & Technology functional organization
• Ability to interface with the USG Customer office and global supply base
• Ability to support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations
• Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
