The ideal candidate has hands-on Salesforce development experience combined with strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, source-driven development, release automation, and enterprise change-management practices.

Contributions

Responsibilities include:
  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Manage Salesforce source code and branching strategies using Azure Repos and Git.
  • Automate Salesforce metadata validation, deployment, testing, and promotion across development, integration, UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Use Salesforce CLI, Salesforce DX, Metadata API, and related tools to support source-driven development.
  • Develop and maintain YAML-based build and release pipelines.
  • Establish pull-request standards, approval processes, quality gates, and automated code-review checks.
  • Integrate Apex tests, code-coverage validation, static code analysis, security scanning, and deployment validation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Coordinate releases across multiple Salesforce development teams and environments.
  • Manage deployment dependencies, destructive changes, profiles, permission sets, custom metadata, and environment-specific configuration.
  • Create and maintain release plans, deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot deployment failures, and identify opportunities to improve release reliability.
  • Support sandbox strategy, environment refreshes, source synchronization, and release-branch management.
  • Apply secure credential-management practices using Azure Key Vault, service connections, certificates, and connected apps.
  • Partner with Salesforce architects, developers, testers, product owners, and security teams to implement consistent DevOps standards.
  • Provide release metrics and reporting through Azure Boards, dashboards, and pipeline analytics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform.

    • Azure Repos
    • Azure Boards
    • Azure Artifacts
    • Azure Test Plans or comparable testing tools
  • Experience creating and maintaining YAML-based Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and code-review workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI, Salesforce DX project structure, scratch orgs or sandboxes, and Salesforce Metadata API.
  • Experience deploying Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura components, Flows, permission sets, custom metadata, and other Salesforce configuration.
  • Understanding of Salesforce deployment dependencies and common metadata deployment limitations.
  • Experience incorporating Apex testing and code-coverage requirements into automated pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Salesforce validation, authentication, dependency, and deployment failures.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams and structured release-management processes.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Microsoft Azure or Azure DevOps certification.
