I2X Technologies is seeking a Lead Facility Network Comm Project Engineer * to support ongoing activities for a customer in Boulder, CO . This position will be on-site and will require an active * TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph .

I2X is seeking a Lead Facility Network Comm Project Engineer with enterprise WAN/LAN experience to support a prime contractor role at a Government Research and Development facility in Boulder, CO. This customer-facing position requires a self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team and possesses strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Experience in working with cross functional Government SETAs, FFRDCs, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Capability Integration Development (CID) team members is a plus. There is a minimum onsite support requirement for M-F during core business hours of 9-3pm MT. Occasional/infrequent after hours/weekend support may be required

Responsibilities:

  • Lead site surveys, technical interchange meetings, and design reviews to collaborate with multiple tenants and external comm providers to identify requirements, risks, and dependencies that drive new or upgrade designs
  • Leverage technical experience and in-depth knowledge of the facility communications infrastructure to facilitate, integrate, and test new tenant connections and ensure they meet levied requirements
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing circuits and respond rapidly to planned or unplanned events
  • Analyze existing comm circuits and strategize ways to improve bandwidth and performance to meet growing tenant requirements
  • Document facility comm systems and maintain detailed records using configuration management processes
  • Facilitate communication between multiple onsite tenants and external comm providers to ensure solutions and requirements are aligned
  • Serve as primary facility POC for external comms for anomalies or issues requiring attention or escalation
  • Facilitate tracking, stakeholder status updates, and closure updates to external communications efforts
  • Perform configuration management oversight and documentation for external communications network environments
  • Serve as the program representative on technical approval boards for external comm related items
  • Collaborate with tenants and external comm providers on outages, testing, upgrades, impacts, risks, mitigation, status, and reporting in conjunction with planned or unplanned events
  • Work with tenants and comm providers on external network comm architecture, design, and requirements
  • Identify and provide briefings to stakeholders regarding requirements and scope for external comm efforts
  • Provide tenant cyber security teams with requested artifacts to support external comm related cyber tasking to include but not limited to IATT, ATC, and ATO efforts
  • Facilitate onsite circuit installs and troubleshooting efforts for new and existing comm connections
  • Track, manage, and provide facility bandwidth metrics to all tenants for design consideration
  • Primary management and technical responsibilities for entire facility ISP solution
  • Conduct and analyze data captures to obtain network performance information
  • Configure, implement, and test/troubleshoot crypto devices
  • Develop and maintain facility network and equipment operating procedures
  • Provide solution guidance for tech refreshes and environment baseline builds


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise network systems within DoD, Intelligence Community, or other national security environments
  • At least 5 years of experience integrating solutions into operational classified environments.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams to achieve strategic objectives
  • Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such BGP or OSPF
  • Knowledge of communication methods, principles, protocols and concepts (e.g., crypto, mesh network, sftp) that support the network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of capabilities and applications of network equipment
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Ability to review rack layout diagram and identify network equipment
  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption)
  • Knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management
  • Knowledge of how traffic flows across the network (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol [TCP] and Internet Protocol [IP], Open System Interconnection Model [OSI], Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]
  • Knowledge of common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with network integrations to on-premises and cloud environments utilizing PWAN, MeshONE-T, and Commercial Communications providers

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI Poly or the ability and willingness to obtain/maintain one

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
