Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions for GPS systems used in military applications
- Participate in the modernization of existing GPS infrastructure to enhance security and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic modules into GPS hardware and software
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of cryptographic implementations to ensure compliance with military standards
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and developers
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in GPS cryptography
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GPS systems and cryptography
- Proven experience with cryptographic algorithms and protocols (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC)
- Strong understanding of GPS signal structure and processing techniques
- Experience with hardware security modules (HSMs) and secure element design
- Knowledge of military-specific standards and requirements for GPS systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Clearance: U.S. Citizen required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GPS modernization programs or military GPS projects
- Knowledge of cryptographic hardware acceleration and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with software-defined radio and GPS signal simulation tools
- Experience with embedded systems development for cryptographic applications
