Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions for GPS systems used in military applications
- Participate in the modernization of existing GPS infrastructure to enhance security and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic modules into GPS hardware and software
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of cryptographic implementations to ensure compliance with military standards
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GPS cryptography systems in field operations
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in GPS cryptography and apply them to project needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GPS systems and cryptography
- Proven experience with cryptographic algorithms and protocols, particularly in military-grade systems
- Strong understanding of GPS signal processing and modulation techniques
- Experience with hardware security modules (HSMs) and secure element design
- Knowledge of relevant military standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD-188, NSA guidelines)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Clearance: U.S. Citizen required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific military GPS programs or projects
- Knowledge of cryptographic hardware acceleration and FPGA design
- Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) and related technologies
- Experience working with government contractors or defense agencies
