Job Description

The Custodian, CAA (Cleared Access Area) Supervisor will be based at Amentum sites in US Embassy, Caracas supporting DiPSS Venezuela BLS contract in support of the US. Department of State. This position will be responsible for performing custodial/escort duties and leading other custodians and will report to the Site Services Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

DUTIES:
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
  • Lead a team of custodians in their performance of custodial/escorting duties.
  • Take ownership of and oversee all CAA facility Custodian related projects.
  • Ensure that work schedules/calendars are up to date and all areas are cleaned as required in the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are identified, ordered, and stocked as needed.
  • Perform custodial services in the Embassy CAA office areas to include conference rooms, special purpose (data processing and communication) areas, restrooms, lobbies, corridors and stairways.
  • Clean CAA office, corridors, restrooms, stairwells and other areas, including floors, walls and windows.
  • Clean inside/outside windows using ariel lift
  • Shampoo carpets and spot replace as necessary.
  • Perform dusting, sweeping, washing, vacuuming, replacing lights, and cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and floor polishers.
  • Strip, wax, polishing and seal stone/marble floors
  • Escort non-cleared employees into classified areas and monitor them while they perform maintenance duties.
  • Perform administrative tasks when directed, including material ordering, inventory, work scheduling and report preparation.
  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
  • Report any lack of compliance with Statement of Work (SOW) to the Manager.


REQUIRED:

  • Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: One (1) year successful experience in a leading/supervising custodial staff performing duties in a residential facility.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to lift and carry seventy pounds.
  • Walk long distances on a continuous/routine bases
  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting custodial and escort functions at an overseas facility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
  • Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED.
  • Passport, Licenses and Certifications: As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers' license from Home of Record.
  • Security Vetting: Already possess a A US Government issued security clearance Secret Clearance or be able to obtain a favorable Secret Clearance certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.
  • Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
  • Citizenship: Must be eligible for US Government Clearance.
  • Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Venezuela. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.


DESIRED:

  • Experience working in Secure Access areas.
  • Previous outside-of-home-country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
  • Experience working with /Amentum.
