Overview
VTG is seeking a UI/UX Developer to design and develop intuitive, visually engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across multiple applications. This role combines UI/UX design, user research, prototyping, and front-end development, requiring someone who can take user requirements from initial research and design through functional implementation.

This role combines UI/UX design, user research, prototyping, and front-end development, requiring someone who can take user requirements from initial research and design through functional implementation.
What will you do?
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, workflows, and pain points.
- Translate user and business requirements into wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and functional user interfaces.
- Design cohesive, human-centered interfaces that provide consistent user experiences across multiple applications.
- Develop and implement front-end components using React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate application workflows and proposed user experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to user problems.
- Apply color theory, typography, layout principles, and grid systems to create visually effective interfaces.
- Develop responsive and mobile-first designs that provide consistent experiences across devices and screen sizes.
- Apply accessibility standards, including WCAG and ARIA, when designing and developing user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain design systems and reusable component libraries to improve consistency across applications.
- Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback into design improvements.
- Design animations and micro-interactions that enhance usability and the overall user experience.
- Ensure consistency between approved designs and final front-end implementations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities and collaborate throughout the product development lifecycle.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience with UI/UX design and user research.
- Experience developing wireframes and interactive prototypes.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools.
- Strong front-end development experience with:
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- HTML
- CSS
- React
- Next.js
- Strong understanding of color theory and grid systems.
- Experience translating user requirements and designs into functional front-end components.
- Strong attention to detail across both visual design and technical implementation.
