Blu Omega is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support a federal program focused on cybersecurity operations. This role operates within a fully remote environment and is responsible for security monitoring, SIEM operations, security analytics, and infrastructure visibility. The position requires experience supporting cybersecurity support activities within a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cybersecurity and operational data to identify trends, risks, and anomalies
• Support Splunk SIEM administration, dashboards, reporting, and investigations
• Manage and optimize Cribl log routing and data pipeline operations
• Support continuous threat monitoring and incident response activities
• Support AWS and VMware environments from a security operations perspective
• Develop security metrics, reporting, and operational insights for stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 4+ years in data analysis, security operations, or infrastructure support
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, particularly Splunk
• Proficiency with data pipelines and log routing tools like Cribl
• Familiarity with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow
• Experience supporting virtualized and cloud environments (VMware, AWS)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified, CISSP) are a plus but not mandatory
• Experience with forensic analysis and red teaming resources
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience with media wiki documentation and incident tracking tools
• Familiarity with Splunk in cloud environments like AWS

Compensation
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
