Job Description

Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technical professional to join our team in Albany, GA. The position requires a self motivated, detail oriented individual with strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills. The individual will support production and maintenance operations by evaluating work processes, manpower utilization, equipment, material flow, safety, and operational efficiency. The position will work directly with technical personnel, production teams, and leadership to identify process improvements and support mission requirements.
This position is located in Albany, GA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Plan, design, analyze, improve, and install integrated work systems comprised of personnel, materials, and equipment for product manufacturing, service delivery, equipment repair, or supply movement/storage
Conduct studies of engineered time standards, methods engineering, layout design, control systems, materials handling, and manpower utilization.
Develop process maps and installation instructions for new or improved work systems.
Evaluate, predict, and advise on ways to optimize production factors (people, equipment, materials, information, energy) for organizational efficiency.
Support quality assurance, safety, and compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and Marine Corps directives.
Maintain written Safety Plan addressing mishap reporting, safety meetings, inspections, and training.
Operate material handling equipment with proper certifications and maintain ability to manually lift 50 lbs.
Respond to surge staffing and rapid response requirements as defined by contract scope.
Maintain active Secret clearance and obtain all relevant certifications/licenses as required by position.
US Citizenship
Provide documentation and reporting of process improvements, system installations, and operational changes as required by contract deliverables

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree is desired in industrial engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical field; relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (extra 4 years total of 8 years of experience), based on contract requirements.
Experience supporting manufacturing, maintenance, repair, production, logistics, or industrial operations.
Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, processes, manpower utilization, equipment utilization, and production requirements.
Experience developing or evaluating process maps, work instructions, production methods, or similar technical documentation.
Working knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, including process improvement, time studies, methods analysis, material handling, facility/workspace layout, and production efficiency.
Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements to personnel, equipment, material, and workflow utilization.
Working knowledge of quality assurance and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, work instructions, drawings, specifications, job plans, and other technical documentation.
Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to technicians, production personnel, management, and customers.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to support surge requirements and changing operational priorities.
Ability to obtain and maintain required material handling equipment certifications.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Working knowledge of Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) and/or Global Combat Support System Marine Corps (GCSS MC)
Relevant military or civilian/contractor experience in a logistics field, supply, maintenance, maintenance management, mobility or distribution management

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 $156,700.00.
