Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Classification / Program Protection SME to support a high-visibility Department of War mission located onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This senior-level role serves as a Security Policy Analyst and Action Officer responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing national and Department of War security policies governing classification management, program protection, information security, counterintelligence, and supply chain risk management.

Responsibilities for the Classification / Program Protection SME Include:
- Develop, update, and implement national and Department of War security policies, guidance, and training related to Classification Management and Program Protection.
- Lead security reviews and provide recommendations on classification guidance, protection requirements, and Program Protection Plans (PPPs) for critical defense programs.
- Coordinate and reconcile security policy across multiple DoD organizations, federal agencies, and stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation.
- Collaborate with Research & Engineering (R&E), Acquisition & Sustainment (A&S), the CIO, DCSA, Joint Staff (J28), and other federal partners on program protection, information security, counterintelligence, and SCRM initiatives.
- Prepare action memos, policy packages, executive briefings, congressional responses, and staff actions supporting senior leadership decision-making.
Qualifications for the Classification / Program Protection SME Include:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- 10+ years of experience supporting national-level information security policies and procedures.
- 5+ years of experience developing, coordinating, staffing, and reconciling security policy and guidance.
- Demonstrated expertise in Classification Management, Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Information Security, Counterintelligence (CI), and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM).
- Experience serving as a senior action officer within OSD, Joint Staff, Military Department headquarters, or similar enterprise-level security organization.
Compensation for for the Classification / Program Protection SME Include:
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $148,000
- Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
