Responsibilities
• Deploy, configure, and integrate Linux, VMware, and Kubernetes platforms in classified environments
• Install, patch, and harden infrastructure utilizing DISA STIG requirements and security best practices
• Build and maintain RHEL operating system images and lifecycle processes
• Deploy and configure VMware virtual infrastructure including ESXi, vSphere, and related components
• Implement Kubernetes-based container platforms and support platform integration efforts
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, and application issues
• Support customer data center deployments and on-site implementation activities
• Integrate identity, security, monitoring, and logging solutions across multiple technology platforms
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support compliance initiatives
• Create deployment documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Linux engineering, VMware infrastructure, and Kubernetes deployments, with experience supporting highly secure environments. They are comfortable working independently, traveling to customer locations, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across compute, networking, storage, and container platforms.
