Job Description

ITility is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Supply Specialist who will be joining a program of ours supporting the Headquarters of the Department of the Army and will provide logistical support to the customer. Candidate must be goal-oriented and able to utilize information technology knowledge for software and hardware architecture and maintenance. This is an onsite role at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Position Overview

The Supply and Property Management Specialist supports the Property Book Officer (PBO) in managing government-owned property, equipment, and supplies for a large Army headquarters organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accountability of government assets, supporting logistics operations, coordinating equipment procurement and disposal, and ensuring compliance with Army property management regulations.

The ideal candidate has experience with Army supply operations, property accountability, inventory management, and logistics planning, along with strong organizational and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Property Accountability & Inventory Management

- Maintain accountability of government property using GCSS-Army.
- Prepare, issue, and maintain hand receipts and related property documentation.
- Conduct annual, cyclic, and sensitive item inventories.
- Reconcile property records and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate receipt, transfer, turn-in, and disposal of government equipment.
- Prepare documentation for lost, damaged, or destroyed property in accordance with Army regulations.

Supply & Logistics Operations

- Order, receive, store, issue, and track expendable and non-expendable supplies.
- Support directorates and staff offices with supply and equipment requirements.
- Develop and implement supply management procedures and internal controls.
- Prepare logistics support documentation, implementation plans, and operational reports.
- Assist with fielding new systems and equipment and support associated logistics requirements.

Equipment & Procurement Support

- Review and process requests for IT equipment, furniture, and office supplies.
- Analyze equipment requirements, capabilities, costs, and lifecycle needs.
- Monitor procurement actions and maintenance support contracts.
- Recommend equipment replacement and modernization solutions.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and monitor equipment condition and utilization.

Regulatory Compliance & Customer Support

- Provide guidance on supply regulations, accountability requirements, and mandatory sources of supply.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures and process improvements.
- Support audits, inspections, and property accountability reviews.
- Train personnel on supply and property management procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- Must have an Interim or Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience. 
- A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for 4 years of required experience with a High School Diploma
- Experience supporting supply, logistics, property accountability, or inventory management operations.
- Knowledge of Army supply regulations and property accountability processes.
- Experience using GCSS-Army or similar logistics/property management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting Army, DoD, or federal government organizations.
- Knowledge of AR 735-5 and related property accountability regulations.
- Experience managing IT equipment and lifecycle logistics support.
- Experience conducting inventories and audit support activities.

Physical Requirements: 

- Work is typically performed in an office setting. 
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
- Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
