Job Description

Summary

Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Guards to support security operations at Redstone Arsenal. This position plays an important role in protecting government personnel, facilities, and assets through access control, visitor management, surveillance monitoring, and security screening activities that support mission readiness and operational security.
  • The ideal candidate is observant, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role offers the opportunity to support critical government operations, interact with a diverse workforce, and contribute directly to the protection of personnel, property, and facilities.

Responsibilities

This position is On-call.
  • Control access to facilities, personnel, property, and restricted areas in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Monitor personnel entry and exit activities to ensure compliance with access control requirements.
  • Support visitor management and screening operations.
  • Monitor security alarms and emergency notification systems.
  • Monitor and observe Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and report suspicious activity.
  • Conduct security screenings utilizing hand-held screening devices and walk-through metal detectors.
  • Maintain situational awareness and identify potential security concerns.
  • Report security violations, suspicious behavior, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support force protection and physical security initiatives.
  • Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar unarmed security work.
  • High School Diploma or GED required .
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and apply written rules, instructions, procedures, and training materials.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on operational requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government facilities.
  • Experience performing access control, visitor management, or security screening duties.
  • Experience monitoring CCTV systems and alarm systems.
  • Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience.
  • Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of physical security principles and force protection practices.
  • Knowledge of access control procedures, visitor management, and facility security operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to monitor security systems and identify potential threats or security concerns.
  • Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and stressful situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to security compliance.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and mission success.
