Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join a team developing and sustaining complex mission-critical software systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on advanced technologies in a secure environment while contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment
Develop software that supports command and control functionality, including system interfaces and hardware integration
Build applications that provide planning, analytics, visualization, and decision-support capabilities
Develop and maintain microservice-based architectures
Support cloud-native deployments and containerized environments
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical solutions
Produce and maintain software architecture and technical documentation
Participate in Agile development activities, sprint planning, and code reviews

Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software development experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Strong experience with Java 1.8+ and object-oriented software development
Experience developing software in Linux environments
Experience with Python or other object-oriented programming languages
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience building and deploying microservice-based applications
Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience with Helm deployment patterns
Experience with Maven, Harbor, and modern deployment tooling
Experience with event-driven and message-based architectures
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
Experience with Go development
Experience with PostgreSQL databases
Familiarity with secure software development practices
Experience troubleshooting and supporting production environments
Background in highly regulated or secure environments
