Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating aviation support across the National Capital Region (NCR) with interagency partners; advising leadership on applicable regulations to ensure that the organization policy aligns with published directives; and
developing operational plans for large scale interagency operations in the National Capital Region (NCR), such as, State Funeral, National Special Security Events (NSSE), and steady state operations.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Additional information
- Manages the MDW Air Mission Requests (AMR) process to ensure that all AMRs are executed in accordance with applicable DoD and DA regulations and directives.
- Serves as a senior advisor to the JTF Commander and Staff for all employment and support of aviation units and elements.
- Coordinates the development of MDW-level Operation Plans (OPLAN) that support the JTF-NCR's NORTHCOM assigned Continuity of Government (COOP/COG), Homeland Defense, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities roles and responsibilities.
- Oversees the mission analysis order development for five O-6 operational headquarters.
