Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
You will play a vital role in leading technical operations, executing cyber security engineering solutions, and safeguarding mission-critical enterprise systems.

You will play a vital role in leading technical operations, executing cyber security engineering solutions, and safeguarding mission-critical enterprise systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Assist in the creation of fully developed project schedules utilizing the Enterprise Scheduling Service platform (ESS) built on Microsoft Project.
- Assist with creating quality briefing decks, including detailed cost estimates, for senior leadership presentation.
- Author and organize document deliverables, perform customer engagement, document technical requirements, and manage customer communications.
- Coordinate the engineering, integration, and administration functions required to deliver capabilities, documentation, and services to the operational and engineering baseline.
- Ensure that all aspects of projects are completed and delivered according to the implementation plan and schedule.
- Coordinate the build-out and testing of sophisticated applications and tools in virtual and physical environments.
- Manage incident/request ticket queues through ServiceNow and assist with the management of Tier 2-4 support to customer systems, to include potential after-hours and weekend support.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of relevant cyber security work experience, including direct experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience managing or leading small to medium sized teams supporting engineering operations
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office products, or similar project management and collaboration platforms
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and appropriate application of DoD/IC policy and technical security guidance to information systems
- Must hold an active IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) or have the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Managerial and leadership experience leading small to medium technical teams.
- General knowledge of security technologies such as vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, log monitoring, and endpoint protection.
- Previous System Administrator (SA) or systems engineering experience.
- Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management to clearly articulate ideas for executive-level and technical staff consumption.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met
Clearance Requirements
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with a polygraph.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
