We are seeking an experienced Interdisciplinary Engineer to support facility engineering, design review, construction, and infrastructure projects throughout Alaska.

Compensation:
We are seeking an experienced Interdisciplinary Engineer to support facility engineering, design review, construction, and infrastructure projects throughout Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for facility repair, restoration, renovation, and new construction projects.
- Conduct technical reviews of engineering studies, reports, specifications, and design packages.
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering recommendations.
- Perform facility condition assessments and field investigations.
- Review Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to project managers and stakeholders on engineering issues and solutions.
- Coordinate responses to contractor and architect/engineer requests for information.
- Support projects in challenging and remote environments throughout Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience required; 10+ years preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and national building codes.
- Experience with mechanical systems, including:
- HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
- Plumbing systems
- Fuel systems
- Tanks, pumps, piping, and steam systems
- Related facility infrastructure systems
Highly Desired
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent industry-recognized engineering credential.
- Experience designing facilities in:
- High seismic areas
- High-wind environments
- Coastal/maritime climates
- AutoCAD drafting experience.
- Experience developing and reviewing:
- Design-Build packages
- Design-Bid-Build packages
- Performance-based specifications
- Facility repair and restoration experience.
- Autodesk Civil 3D experience.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background preferred.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel, including overnight travel, throughout Alaska.
- Site visits may involve adverse weather conditions, climbing ladders, crawling under structures, and travel on small aircraft.
Non-Negotiables
- Public Trust eligible
- 5+ years of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering experience (10+ years preferred)
- Experience with National Codes and mechanical engineering systems (HVAC, plumbing, fuel systems, tanks, pumps, piping, steam, etc.)
- PE License highly preferred
- AutoCAD experience highly preferred
- Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build experience highly preferred
- Experience supporting projects in seismic, coastal, and high-wind environments highly preferred
Compensation:
- Salary: $120,000 - $170,000
