Job Description

This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Network Engineer Analyst to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.

This position is located in Arlington, VA and will be onsite 5 days a week. No hybrid/telework allowed.

Responsibilities:

Conduct discovery of software, applications, systems, and networks using automated scanning/discovery/validation tools (e.g., Spectr, GhostCrew, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or equivalent).
Query and extract asset data from source systems (e.g., Active Directory, SCCM/Endpoint Manager, ServiceNow CMDB).
Perform gap analysis comparing discovered assets against existing documentation/baselines, flagging vulnerabilities, non-compliant configurations, and redundant/duplicate assets.
Support publication of the baseline inventory and participate in continuous validation cycles.
Assist in executing the Operating Model phase once inventory work is complete, supporting environment build-out, migration, and transition activities under senior direction.
Support the Intelligence Integration phase following completion of the Operating Model work, assisting with mapping and documentation of the bi-directional intelligence-sharing model.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in IT/Network Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity.
Possess (or ability to obtain prior to start) and maintain one of the following certifications:
CASP+ CE, CCNA-Security, CISSP (or Associate), CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP
Hands-on experience with network/asset discovery tools (e.g., Nmap, Spectr, GhostCrew, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or similar).
Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
Practical experience querying/extracting data from Active Directory and/or a CMDB.
Familiarity with Windows Server administration (patch levels, service inventories, configuration review).
Basic understanding of security baseline standards (e.g., NIST, CIS benchmarks).
Understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall rule analysis, and common ports/protocols.
Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams and network topology maps.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Scripting ability (PowerShell or Python).
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Resource Manager (ARM) structure, to understand eventual migration target.
Experience supporting federal or Department of State IT environments.
Familiarity with Power Platform, Databricks, or similar enterprise tools.
Active Secret security clearance.
