What We're Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional Applications team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System, protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
The C2BMC-Regional Application (RA) Agile Release Train (ART) is seeking a systems engineer / analyst that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the analysis, design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a systems analyst on the RA ART team include:
• Perform behavior and performance analysis of the Track Processing and System Discrimination applications within Track Server
• Perform software analysis, testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Execute automated tools and apply manual techniques to analyze software capabilities and behaviors in an integrated environment
• Ensure software applications are performing to required specifications
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Interface with cross functional teams and Subject Matter Experts to define analysis approaches, set up scenarios, assist with anomaly resolution, and deliver actionable insights to customers and stakeholders.
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software / computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, data analytics, or a related discipline
- 6+ years of related professional experience; may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
- Proven experience producing analysis reports for complex systems and algorithms (performance, behavior, functionality).
- Demonstrated experience using MATLAB, Python, or a comparable language for prototyping, data visualization, scripting, data manipulation, and parsing.
- Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and/or Linux command line tools for hands on data analysis and verification.
- Experience with statistical methods, time series analysis, and data visualization to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Understanding of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycles.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Desired Skills
- Background in missile defense battle management, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command and control systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and statistical methods to interpret system trends, behaviors, and test results.
- Strong math/physics background: probability, statistics, linear algebra, spatial & timing reference frames.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments utilizing JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with automated analysis and assessment in software applications/systems.
- Ability to create analysis tools and parsers using MATLAB, Bash, Java, Python (or similar).
- Experience with object-oriented coding, SQL queries, regular expressions, reading Java code, and using Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to read and understand Java, C, or C++ code.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
