Responsibilities
Arcfield is on the lookout for talented and passionate Software Developers to join our team in providing exceptional Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) support to our customer's Ground Enterprise.
As a Software Developer IV, you will play a pivotal role in the evolution of mission-critical systems, working alongside a dedicated team to develop, maintain, and enhance cutting-edge software and web services. Leveraging the Agile framework and user-centered design methodologies, your contributions will directly impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our customer's operations and innovations.
The ideal candidate will be considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise and is a forward-thinking, detail-oriented developer who thrives in collaborative environments and has demonstrated expertise in modern software development practices.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate with stakeholders to keep sprint data in a usable, organized form while also preserving it in a secure, immutable record for compliance, audit, or historical purposes
- Deliver all software programs, software code, software listings, test files, installation procedures, technical documentation, flow charts, and designs
- Sponsor standard configuration management practices, information security and governance policies for implementing system-level requirements that address Sponsor and/or Product Owner mission needs, or as directed by legislation or policy changes
- Propose business use cases to inform the Sponsor Leadership decision process for approving enhancements
- Leverage current Sponsor Enterprise solutions, where possible, and recommend changes that contribute to the quality and maintainability of the services
- Provide concepts, designs and architectures in a software design document format as directed by the Sponsor
- Designs will represent each requirement transformed into data and software architecture at a concept level, and at a detailed level
- Develop automated test scripts to ensure resilience
- Identify and resolve software issues, bugs, and errors to ensure smooth operation and functionality
- Conduct thorough testing of software components and deploy updates and new features efficiently
- Collect and analyze user feedback to inform enhancements and improvements to software applications
- Create and maintain technical documentation for software components and development processes
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve software development practices
- Open to learning new coding constructs and infrastructure configurations as needed
- Recommend cloud-based infrastructure requirements based on capacity planning, performance, and Sponsor goals and strategies
- Comply with coding standards when developing software modules that implement detailed designs
- Conduct peer reviews of design and code prior to committing code in the code repository
- Leverage enterprise services to the greatest extent possible when performing system development and system enhancements
- Aid in maintaining data integrity and developing a legacy data migration plan for Sponsor review and approval
- Provide new capabilities to meet mission objectives or a modernization of an existing capability, application, system, and/or service
Qualifications
Required:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
- A degree in computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience executing software development activities
- Experience with development technologies
Desired:
- Three (3) years of experience contributing to software development activities and/or projects within the Intelligence Community
- An active certification related to software engineering or development
- Experience with systems in AWS cloud platforms and hosting requirements
- Knowledge of and experience with:
- Administration/Integration Tools
- Applications Servers
- DevOps Tools
- Encryption Protocols

- Web Application Programming
