Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the security, integrity, and resilience of our information systems and networks.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect organizational data and systems
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Manage and monitor security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions
• Investigate security incidents and respond to threats in a timely and effective manner
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security best practices into system design and operations
• Provide security awareness training and support to employees
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on systems security
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification required
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and security tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools
• Experience with mobile and application security
• Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS)

Clearance Requirements:
We are a government contractor and require candidates to possess or be eligible for a Secret clearance. Active clearance preferred.
