PE Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator, JM to support the strategic and operational success of NC3 (Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications) programs at Peterson SFB, CO. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of NC3 missions, policies, and objectives, and will play a critical role in advising management on the effectiveness and sustainability of NC3 operations.

General Function:      
  • Administer and customize JIRA environments by developing project structures, workflows, issue types, screens, field configurations, permission schemes, notification schemes, and automation rules tailored to program-specific requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Confluence spaces, page templates, knowledge bases, and documentation frameworks to establish consistent information-sharing and collaboration practices across teams.
  • Create custom JIRA dashboards, filters, reports, and performance metrics to provide program leadership with actionable visibility into project status, workload distribution, trends, and operational performance.
  • Configure JIRA and Confluence to support Agile development practices, including sprint management, backlog organization, workflow tracking, and collaboration among product owners, developers, and program teams.
  • Design and implement JIRA/Confluence automation and workflow enhancements that reduce manual processes, improve task visibility, and standardize program execution.
  • Establish Confluence documentation standards and reusable content structures to improve the organization, discoverability, and long-term maintenance of program knowledge and technical information.
  • Develop platform-specific configuration standards and best practices for JIRA and Confluence to promote consistency, scalability, maintainability, and ease of administration across multiple programs.
  • Develop JIRA and Confluence reporting and visualization capabilities that consolidate program information into tailored views for different stakeholder groups and management levels.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • BA/BS or Master of Arts/ Master of Science (MA/MS) degree and 5 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintain government security clearance at the Secret
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
  • Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Other Qualifications:
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Advanced expertise in JIRA and Confluence, including the ability to customize and tailor, the platforms to meet organizational requirements beyond standard functionality.
  • Experience providing application support for both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and proprietary applications.
  • Experience supporting both client-side and server-side components of enterprise systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with enterprise backup and SAN solutions.
  • Preferred: Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position is estimated between $80-83K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PE Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
