Senior Full Stack Developer
Atlanta, GA / Remote
Blu Omega is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support a federal program focused on public health. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end software solutions supporting mission-critical government programs. The position requires experience supporting enterprise application development across front-end, back-end, data, services, and API layers within a mission-driven environment.

Key Details
Location: Atlanta, GA / Remote
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications utilizing modern programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, React, Angular, or similar technologies
• Develop responsive front-end applications with modern web technologies and frameworks
• Build scalable backend services, middleware, microservices, and enterprise APIs to support complex application and business needs
• Integrate applications with SQL, NoSQL, and other data-intensive technologies
• Create and support RESTful APIs and enterprise services for secure, reliable data exchange
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions
• Analyze existing architectures for modernization, automation, and performance improvements
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, API, and data issues, and implement solutions
• Apply modern software engineering practices, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement activities
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in software application development and modification
• 5+ years of full-stack development with Java, Python, React, Angular, Rust, or comparable frameworks and languages
• Proven ability to work across front-end, back-end, and data layers
• Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-level services and APIs
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL data technologies and data-intensive platforms
• Hands-on experience developing scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum development practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC or Atlanta, GA
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
• High school diploma or GED
Nice to Have
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code
• Experience with cloud-native development, microservices, containerization, or DevSecOps practices
• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• Experience translating client requirements into automation solutions and application enhancements
Compensation
Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $195,000.00
Final compensation is based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and ability to obtain a clearance.
