Standard Job Description
You will be the Systems Engineer Staff (Level 4) Hardware Team Member - Skunk Works - for the Advanced Communications & Data Links Roadmap team which is responsible for shaping, crafting, and maturing the future architecture and capabilities related to communications and data links. As a hardware team member you will be responsible for translating high-level mission needs into detailed system and software requirements, guiding architecture development, and acting as a technical SME for the roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to design and develop Mission Systems (MS) hardware subsystems
• Experience with Electronics design, assembly, and checkout
• Demonstrated experience working through all phases of hardware development including platform integration/adoption
• Experience with managing supplier requirements and tracking supplier execution
• Ability to work with different engineering disciplines (software, systems, RF, networking, reliability, cybersecurity, etc.) to derive and decompose requirements
• Experience with Safety Critical system design characteristics
• Experience with VITA OpenVPX Family of Standards and/or SOSA Technical Standard
• Experience with Gigahertz microprocessors, FPGAs, DDR4 memory, flash memory, and high-density interconnect technologies.
• Familiarity with RF system design, including components, such as amplifiers, filters, and antennas
• Knowledge of the proposal process
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (Rhapsody, MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- Professional Hardware Design Experience
- Proven history of architecting complex digital hardware
- Demonstrated experience leading a technical team

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $94400.00 - $175200.00
