Videographer/Photographer
Job Summary:
Caelum Research Corporation is seeking a creative and dependable Videographer/Photographer to join the Visual Information team supporting the United States Army War College (USAWC) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
This is a hands-on creative position for someone who enjoys telling stories through both video and photography. You will have the opportunity to document a wide range of people, events, programs, and activities while creating professional visual content that helps communicate the mission and impact of the Army War College.
The position includes a mix of videography, photography, and editing, with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling. Video projects typically include 1-to-5-minute mission, features, interview, and highlight videos, along with cinematic and journalistic B-roll.
This position does not focus on creating or managing social media content.
Responsibilities
• Shoot and edit professional video and photography for the United States Army War College.
• Create engaging 1-to-5-minute videos highlighting USAWC people, programs, events, and missions.
• Capture cinematic and journalistic B-roll that helps tell a complete story.
• Film interviews using professional camera, lighting, and audio techniques.
• Photograph ceremonies, events, distinguished visitors, academic activities, portraits, and other assignments.
• Edit video projects using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Select and edit photography using Adobe Lightroom.
• Work with other photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and Public Affairs professionals to create polished visual products.
• Organize and maintain photo and video files throughout the production process.
• Manage multiple assignments and deliver completed work within established timelines.
Required Qualifications
• A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in both videography and photography is essential.
• Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless camera systems, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
• Ability to shoot cinematic and journalistic B-roll in dynamic environments.
• Experience producing polished 1–5-minute videos with strong narrative flow.
• Strong understanding of composition, pacing, visual storytelling, and production workflows.
• Experience producing content for digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and websites.
• Excellent time-management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain or qualify for a Secret security clearance.
Experience and Education
There is no specific degree requirement for this position.
Professional experience, education, freelance work, military experience, personal projects, or other backgrounds may all provide the skills needed for this role.
