Industrial Engineering Technician

Duties

• Responsible for planning, designing, improving and installing integrated work systems comprised of workers, materials, and equipment for use in all mission organizations.
• Plan, study, and coordinate the effective location and relocation of the mission organization's productive elements before, after and during construction and/or plant modification.
• Lead operations to include production schedules and line stoppers, manhours/personnel requirements, workflow and processes, poverty pockets/unworkable work and equipment utilization.
• Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and furnish technical advice to the Army Contracting Command in the form of evaluation of bids.

Specialized Experience for GS-10 : One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Making initial evaluations of design problems to determine the optimum solution; 2) Utilizing automation tools to facilitate plan/project development and coordination; AND 3) Preparing documents, charts, and reports related to industrial operations.

Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Participating on projects that analyze data and suggest improvements to industrial operations; 2) Utilizing automation tools to facilitate plan/project development and coordination of major shop organizational elements; 3) Assisting leaders and supervision in solving short and long range production and facilities problems; AND 4) Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the organizational mission.

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-10: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
