Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead / Solution Architect to own end-to-end technical direction for the modernization effort. This role establishes architecture and engineering standards across Angular, middleware/services, Oracle data, security, testing, and deployment; resolves cross-tier design issues; and mentors engineers while remaining actively involved in design and code review.
Education

Associate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Experience & Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience technically leading application-development teams on projects of similar scope and complexity.

· Deep, verifiable hands-on experience with TypeScript and Angular, including component architecture, state management, routing, forms, performance, and testing patterns.

· Working knowledge of Java/.NET middleware and/or Oracle SOA plus Oracle Database development sufficient to guide cross-tier architecture.

· Experience designing REST APIs, integration patterns, authentication/authorization flows, and separation of concerns across application tiers.

· Experience applying responsive design, user-centered design, and Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

· Experience with CI/CD, static analysis, automated testing, security scanning, code review, and release governance.
Key Responsibilities

· Own the target solution architecture and technical roadmap across UI, middleware, database, security, integration, testing, and deployment layers.

· Define and enforce architecture principles, coding standards, API standards, reusable patterns, logging/error-handling conventions, and nonfunctional requirements.

· Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, dependency decisions, proof-of-concepts, and resolution of complex cross-tier defects or performance issues.

· Elicit, validate, and decompose stakeholder requirements into technical designs, interface contracts, process/data flows, wireframes as applicable, and implementation guidance.

· Ensure business logic is placed in the appropriate layer and prevent unnecessary concentration of logic in the UI or database tier.

· Define integration approaches for authentication, authorization, APIs, legacy-system coexistence, migration, and external interfaces.

· Partner with QA to define testability, automation strategy, quality gates, performance criteria, and defect root-cause practices.

· Partner with DevSecOps/operations stakeholders on build/release patterns, environment configuration, observability, security scanning, and deployment readiness.

· Develop or approve system/data migration plans, modernization sequencing, technical debt remediation, and compatibility strategies.

· Mentor developers and engineers; ensure knowledge is distributed, and technical decisions are documented for long-term sustainment.
Core Technical Skills

· Expert Angular/TypeScript architecture with strong REST/service integration fluency.

· Solution architecture, API/interface design, security-aware design, data-flow modeling, and technical documentation.

· Cross-tier troubleshooting across browser/UI, middleware/services, Oracle data, authentication, and CI/CD environments.

· Engineering governance, code quality, automated testing strategy, performance/scalability, and legacy modernization.
