Job Description
Ghostrock, LLC , a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician to support the USDA Forest Service's Wildland Fire Chemical Systems Laboratory at the National Technology and Development Program in Missoula, Montana. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of specialized electronic systems and instrumentation that advance wildfire response capabilities, including equipment supporting Wildland Fire Chemical and Air Tanker programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing specialized electronic systems, instrumentation, and control units.
- Perform electronic circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping, and assembly activities.
- Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate electronic equipment and systems against performance specifications.
- Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and related technical documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other NTDP personnel on integrated system designs.
- Operate and maintain oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
- Support integration of electronic components into larger systems and platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a closely related technical field plus at least five years of experience in electronic design, development, and testing; OR at least 10 years of relevant electronic design, development, and testing experience without the degree.
- Proficiency with electronic design software, including PCB CAD tools.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic circuit theory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with communications, sensor, or power-management systems.
Additional Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to follow all applicable safety rules, standard operating procedures, and technical requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend extended periods standing or walking.
- Ability to work on-site using Government-furnished facilities, equipment, and systems and to safeguard Government property.
