Job Description

Network Configuration Analyst needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Huntsville, AL.

*Active Top Secret Clearance required*
The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for a large Federal Government agency's complex network infrastructure, supporting multiple network enclaves across various security classification levels. Responsibilities include supporting Network Compliance and Monitoring (NCM) activities, implementing configuration and software updates, ensuring compliance with security and operational requirements, and collaborating with engineering teams to maintain secure, reliable, and mission-critical network environments. The candidate should possess strong experience in network infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, systems hardening, and federal/government IT operations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks.
  • Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes.
  • Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions.
  • Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.

Qualifications
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite at the customer facility
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and analyzing complex networks
  • Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems.
  • Must have good knowledge of general network and security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists.
  • Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNA or higher certification
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area
  • Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.
  • Have knowledge and experience configuring and monitoring cryptographic devices.
  • Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
  • Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail.
