What You Will Be Doing
• The F-35 International Operations Engineer will be an expatriate assignment in Cameri, Italy, specifically providing technical assistance to Leonardo F-35 production.
• This role will report directly to the Cameri site director and assist with implementation of strategic initiatives, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, and co-leading daily meetings to address production constraints
• Partners with management and aids in the development of the team strategy for the Italy Technical Assistance Team (TAT), helping to identify opportunities to further improve Leonardo performance
• Capable of analyzing the sequence of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant production facilities, administrative processes, facility and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
• Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, engineering time studies, and process cycle times. Based on these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for process and facility modifications and revisions to operating procedures and technical systems.
• May assist facilities engineers in the planning, design, modification and layout of facilities and equipment
• Support inventory management and material flow to minimize production delays.

Performs activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: failure analysis, industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tool.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience as a program or project lead with strong analytical skills and ability to convey information in large and small forums, both documented and orally
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) analyses
• Experience driving continuous improvement
• Knowledge and experience within Lean Manufacturing Systems which may include one or more of the following: Value Stream Mapping, Value Added Analysis, Pull and Flow Techniques, Cycle Time Analysis, 6S, PDCA, Standard Work, Error Proofing, Visual Management & Controls
• Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
Desired Skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Engineering discipline, Business, or Operations preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers across all levels of an organization, including non-technical personnel (from shop floor workers to executive level)
• Experience developing and coaching through problem solving methodologies
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Lean Practitioner experience
• Experience with the Aero Manufacturing System (AMS) framework
• 5+ years of Production Operations (shop floor) experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experienced in supporting and facilitating Kaizen events
• Ability to work in a represented environment
• Previous experience with international operations
• Ability to speak Italian language

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
