• Java EE Expertise: Deep experience with Java EE 8, specifically writing Stateless Session Beans (SLSBs) and Message Driven Beans (MDBs) for asynchronous processing.
• Object-Relational Mapping (ORM): Strong skills in the Java Persistence API (JPA), specifically utilizing EclipseLink as the persistence provider, configuring transactional properties (JTA), cache coordination, and custom session customizers.
• Asynchronous Messaging (JMS): Experience configuring and integrating Java Message Service (JMS) queues and topic-based destinations (e.g., inbound/outbound channels, diagnostics queues, and custom correlation IDs).
• Web Services: Solid understanding of creating and exposing SOAP Web Services (JAX-WS) from EJB Session Beans.
2. Frontend & UI Framework (Oracle ADF)
• Oracle ADF Suite: Mastery of Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) 11g/12c, including ADF Faces, ADF Controller, and ADF Model layers.
• ADF Controller & Task Flows: Comprehensive experience designing bounded and unbounded ADF Task Flows, managing region popup beans, page flow scopes, and task flow calling conventions.
• Data Bindings: Expert knowledge of configuring page definitions (pageDefs) and binding bindings (DataBindings.cpx) to expose business services to the UI.
• JSF & Templating: Proficient in JSF (JavaServer Faces), creating .jspx pages, .jsff (JSF fragments) templates, and customizing ADF Skins (Trinidad CSS).
• UI Error Handling: Custom handling of UI and data control exceptions and custom phase listeners.
3. Database Layer (Oracle Database & PL/SQL)
• Advanced PL/SQL: Mastery of writing complex Oracle PL/SQL database structures, including robust Packages (pks/pkb), stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers.
• Materialized Views: Designing and maintaining Materialized Views (MVs), MV Logs, and configuring Oracle DBMS Scheduler Jobs to manage scheduled refreshes.
• Database Objects: Experience working with Oracle Sequences, custom Database Types (Arrays), and SQL query optimization.
4. System Integration & Standards
• Logistics Standards: Familiarly with DLMS (Defense Logistics Management Standards) and MILSTRIP EDI transaction sets (e.g., 511R, 527D, 846R, 940R, 945A, 947I, 869F, 869A, 856S).
• Data Processing: Experience writing parsers and handlers for flat-file pre-processing, XML mapping, CSV files, and Excel sheets (utilizing Apache POI libraries).
• Security Integration: Implementing role-based security configurations via weblogic-application.xml and WebLogic security realms.
5. Build, CI/CD, & Development Tools
• IDE: High proficiency with Oracle JDeveloper (11g/12c) and SQL Developer / TOAD.
• Build Tools: Experience with Apache Maven (for multi-module project structures and local repositories) and familiarity with Apache Ant.
• CI/CD & Source Control: Experience with Git and writing automated deployment pipelines (Jenkinsfile).
• Application Server: Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Server (deploying EAR/WAR archives, defining data sources, JNDI queues, and utilising Fast Swap).
6. Testing & Code Quality
• Unit Testing: Strong focus on quality code with JUnit test suite creation and utilizing mock frameworks (mocking EntityManagers, Queries, and Logger Facades).

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance SLSBs to manage core system rules.
• Develop robust PL/SQL packages for backend batch operations.
• Configure ADF Task flows to construct dynamic user screens.
