Standard Job Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Mgr - L5 for the Systems Installation Design team which is responsible for delivering innovative aircraft harness solutions for the F-35 program.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Mgr - L5 you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and release of engineering data that enable the F-35 fleet to operate safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the team in development, layout, planning, and release of Engineering BTP data for the F-35.
  • Provide production and sustainment support, responding to Problem Reports, ESPaRs, QARs, and ARs.
  • Conduct leadership duties including mid-year and annual performance reviews, career development, and timekeeping.
  • Manage EVMS responsibilities, project scheduling, resource loading, and technical issue resolution.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Team Lead Experience.

• Design experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics.

• Experience with design tools such as JEDI or Capital Logic.

• Experience with 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as CATIA, NX, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, 3DX, or equivalent.

• Bachelor's or above Degree from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline.

• Must be a US Citizen with active secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

- Experience in project schedule development and have ability to generate statements of work and basis-of-estimates.

- Experience leading a team of engineers, and ability to execute performance assessments and career development of team members.

- Familiarity with Engineering Bill-of-Materials, Change Management, and all forms of Lockheed Aeronautics Engineering forms and processes.

- Experience working F-35 or similar programs. Knowledge of aircraft design, assembly, and product support.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
