Emerging Technology Analyst
Location: Remote – Must reside in the State of Indiana
On-Site Requirement: Approximately 20–25% travel/on-site presence as needed
Clearance: Secret with eligibility to upgrade to TS/SCI
Position Overview:
Indigo Industries is seeking an Emerging Technology Analyst to support the Prototypes and Experiments (P&E) TF RAPTR team within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW R&E).
This role focuses on analyzing requirements, evaluating emerging technologies, and translating technical and operational data into clear insights that support the needs of the joint warfighter. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across government, military, industry, and academic stakeholders and communicating complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Primary Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Operational Alignment:
-Review, analyze, and interpret operational and technical requirements from senior DoW leadership, defense stakeholders, and private industry.
-Translate strategic guidance into actionable analytical frameworks aligned with joint warfighter needs.
-Assess mission priorities and capability gaps across warfighting domains.
Emerging Technology & Performance Analysis:
-Analyze performance data for emerging technologies across air, land, sea, cyber, and space domains.
-Evaluate technical capabilities, limitations, and operational relevance using multi-source intelligence methodologies.
-Conduct comparative assessments supporting technology acceleration, prototype validation, and operational effectiveness.
Data Integration & Intelligence Analysis:
-Integrate all-source intelligence to support advanced technology evaluations.
-Apply structured analytical techniques to complex datasets and develop actionable insights.
-Utilize intelligence tools and platforms to synthesize, analyze, and visualize information.
Reporting & Strategic Communication:
-Develop and deliver clear, concise reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership.
-Communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-Produce situational assessments, performance summaries, and recommendations to support decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Exercise Coordination:
-Broker collaboration across government, military, industry, and academic organizations.
-Facilitate coordination with joint, interagency, coalition, and international partners, including embassy -engagements.
-Support large-scale joint and multinational exercises, including logistics, clearances, and administrative requirements.
Experimentation & Innovation:
-Support prototype development, experimentation, and operational testing within the P&E TF RAPTR team.
-Identify emerging technology trends and recommend innovative solutions.
-Assess the impact of emerging technologies on future warfighting capabilities.
Qualifications:
-Experience analyzing operational, technical, or intelligence requirements within the defense or national security environment.
-Experience evaluating complex technical information and performance data.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leaders.
-Ability to collaborate effectively across government, military, industry, and academic organizations.
-Experience with intelligence analysis, emerging technologies, experimentation, or operational testing.
-Ability to travel and support on-site activities approximately 20–25% of the time.
MUST reside within the State of Indiana.
