Title: Project Management Specialist - AI Transformation

Location: Ottawa, ON Hybrid. Required on-site from time to time, with a minimum of 12 days on-site per month.

Salary Range: Open Market Rates

Duration: 12 Months

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Management Specialist to lead AI Transformation initiatives. The role involves coordinating and supporting the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of recent demonstrated work experience delivering IT infrastructure, network security, cyber security, or technology transformation.
• A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated work experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist overseeing a project for the definition and implementation of infrastructure modernization, cyber security, and/or technology transformation in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of PMBOK project management principles, processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience in Agile methodologies and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience in AI or technology transformation projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Coordinate and support the delivery of multiple CTS, Cyber Security, and ITS projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource assignments.
• Manage projects through all lifecycle phases, ensuring milestones and targets are met.
• Monitor and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions.
• Prepare and maintain project status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Engage stakeholders, clients, and business partners to gather requirements and resolve issues.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog management activities.
