Job Description:

MEG is a leading provider of Information Management system engineering, software development, information assurance, system sustainment and is the primary provider of technical support for the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Enterprise. IBS is the worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) joint program for transporting intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting data to all levels of tactical and strategic operational users.

IBS provides global, 24/7, dissemination of time sensitive Indications & Warning and Force Protection data to Joint Warfighters and Collaborating Nation partners conducting military operations around the world. MEG serves a vital role in supporting the IBS Enterprise, providing continuity in skills crucial to support military operations. MEG integrates the talents and skills of team members to form an IBS Enterprise Support Services Team to provide world-class IBS customer support.

The Sr Electrical Engineer duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, architecture products, and design documentation to assess system impacts and integration requirements.
  • Support the design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of IBS broadcast and communications systems.
  • Develop engineering analyses, technical reports, recommendations, and contract deliverables.
  • Develop, document, and decompose system-level and subsystem-level requirements.
  • Conduct electrical and systems engineering assessments for communications, broadcast, and interface architectures.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support system integration, verification, validation, and operational testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze system performance data and develop technical recommendations for modernization and enhancement efforts.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives such as RF suite optimization, automation of log analysis, and system uptime improvements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, engineering change proposals, operational procedures, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting software development, network engineering, cybersecurity, and operational mission support.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, broadcast architectures, communications protocols, and DoD engineering standards.
  • Support deployment, transition, and sustainment activities across IBS Enterprise.


REQUIREMENTS

Minim um Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, systems integration, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and supporting complex electronic or broadcast systems.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills working independently to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Security Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility
  • Excellent verbal and written skills


Desired Key Experience:
  • 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, systems integration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Joint Service intelligence systems and mission support.
  • Proactive and independent with excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
  • Must be able to able to successfully function in a flat organization with minimal guidance and direction.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
