Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical defense program with a defense contractor focused on next-generation radar, target tracking, and sensor fusion capabilities.

This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to advanced airborne sensor systems that support the U.S. military and the warfighter. The selected candidate will help develop, integrate, and enhance multi-function RF sensing technologies used to detect, track, and identify threats in complex operational environments.

The work spans the entire system lifecycle, from requirements definition and performance analysis through integration, testing, and deployment on advanced airborne platforms.

If you have experience with radar systems, RF signal processing, target tracking, sensor fusion, or advanced defense technologies, this is an opportunity to support mission-focused programs that have a real-world operational impact.

Responsibilities
Support the development and integration of advanced radar, sensor fusion, and target tracking systems.
Analyze sensor performance and evaluate system effectiveness using modeling, simulation, and real-world test data.
Develop parametric models, visualizations, and data-driven analyses to support system requirements and design efforts.
Maintain and improve existing tracking, sensor fusion, and adaptive processing algorithms.
Support integration efforts across simulation environments, laboratories, and airborne test platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure systems meet performance requirements.
Interpret and utilize Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and other technical documentation.
Participate in system verification, validation, and performance assessments.
Engage with government stakeholders and program teams to balance operational needs and technical requirements.

Required Qualifications
