Overview

i3 is seeking a Mid-Level Logistics Specialist to analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the supply chain. Involves coordination, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts to optimize the logistics process and meet customer and organization goals.

Responsibilities

  • This position performs functions to include, but not limited to: inventory control, material procurement, forecast and supply distribution requirements, bench stock, consolidated tool kit management and tool room accountability under minimal supervision while adhering to and utilizing applicable regulations and U.S. military instructions.
  • Maintaining orderly and logical environment within the integration facility.
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and the safety of staff.
  • Safeguarding documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
  • Assist with deliveries of assets to customers as required by company box truck.
  • Enter purchase request orders into ERP system from Bill of Materials or other product definition sources and track PR from entry to PO generation.
  • Maintain MS SharePoint procurement tracker of all in progress purchases, updating status and posting delivery/shipping information, PO, invoices, packing slips, and inspection reports to tracker.
  • Assist with drafting technical evaluations and, when needed, single source justifications.
  • Administer and maintain asset records within a database (SnipeIT, MS Excel), ensuring accurate assignment, location, status, cost allocation, quantities, accounting information and lifecycle information.
  • Receive, inspect, tag, inventory, and document government and company-owned property.
  • Reconcile purchase orders, bills of material, packing slips, invoices, and received equipment to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify process improvements that increase asset visibility, documentation accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support government yearly and cyclical property inventories, maintain accurate inventory data for program audit requirements.
  • Manage multiple iterations of government transfer protocols for both commercially furnished and government furnished assets and draft appropriate transfer forms.
  • Conduct vendor management of suppliers and their activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience required.
  • Understanding of and experience with government (Army) Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and general government property management protocols.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls, software, databases, and systems.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management (ITAM) and Software asset management (SAM) practices and principles.
  • General understanding of request for quote (RFQ), property management, procurement, supply chain, vendor management and accounting processes.
  • Prior experience with warehouse management procedures preferred.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift effectively preferred, ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Active Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
