Job Responsibilities
Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager & Lead/AISR Support Lead will support global transport networks and critical communications infrastructure for U.S. Special Operations Command and mission partners. This on-site role will support contract execution, mission objectives, system readiness, and operational coordination for AISR capabilities within the C2ISR enterprise. The ideal candidate brings experience in ISR operations, multi-domain mission support, and collaboration across technical, operational, and program teams.

Job Responsibilities
Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager & Lead/AISR Support Lead will support global transport networks and critical communications infrastructure for U.S. Special Operations Command and mission partners. This on-site role will support contract execution, mission objectives, system readiness, and operational coordination for AISR capabilities within the C2ISR enterprise. The ideal candidate brings experience in ISR operations, multi-domain mission support, and collaboration across technical, operational, and program teams.
- Provide day-to-day direction and coordination of contractor personnel supporting C5ISR, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, communications, engineering, and mission support functions.
- Operate within Government-established guidance while supporting both local and geographically dispersed customer leadership.
- Coordinate workforce activities to ensure project staffing, coverage, readiness, and service delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
- Monitor operational performance and support execution of project requirements related to cost, schedule, staffing, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist the Project Manager with resource management activities involving personnel assignments, labor utilization, project priorities, and task execution.
- Support integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment efforts for mission systems, ISR capabilities, communications infrastructure, and supporting technologies.
- Coordinate activities across multiple operational sites and stakeholder organizations to ensure consistent execution of project objectives.
- Assist with implementation of configuration management, change management, cybersecurity, continuity of operations (COOP), and operational readiness activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, status reports, action item trackers, operational metrics, and customer deliverables.
- Coordinate onboarding, workforce development, training, and personnel readiness activities.
- Identify operational risks, resource constraints, and performance issues and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support customer meetings, working groups, inspections, operational assessments, and program reviews.
- Coordinate with Government personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and supporting organizations to ensure timely resolution of operational and technical issues.
- Maintain awareness of customer mission priorities, emerging requirements, and operational changes to ensure responsive project support.
- Serve as acting Project Manager during periods of absence or as directed.
- Support occasional travel requirements, site visits, transition activities, and field assessments as required.

AISR Support Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate AISR support operations, ensuring C2ISR Network missions stay online.
- Serve as the primary interface between operations, engineering, logistics, program management, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee planning, coordination, and tracking of C2ISR readiness, configuration baselines, sustainment tasks, and system availability.
- Monitor performance of C2ISR network operations; identify risks and recommend improvements to mission effectiveness.
- Support integration of new capabilities, including sensor upgrades, software releases, data-link enhancements, and workflow optimizations.
- Manage operational reporting, status updates, and documentation for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate technical and operational collaboration across C2ISR disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with DoD standards, security requirements, configuration management processes, and mission support guidelines.
- Mentor junior network technicians and operators; contribute to training, best practices, and process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret with SCI Elegibility clearance.
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
- Candidates must meet the qualification requirements of DoDM 8140.03 for the DCWF 802 - IT Project Manager (Intermediate) work role through an approved qualification pathway (Education, DoD Military/Training, Certification, or a combination thereof), as defined by the applicable contract. Qualification Pathways (One or More May Apply)
- Qualifying 8140 credentials include a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or completion of relevant military communications or network training.
- Qualifying 8140 certifications may include CompTIA Security+ CE, SecurityX / CASP+, GSEC, DAIWA PM Practioner or other DoD 8140-approved certifications. Higher proficiency-level or equivalent DoD 8140-approved certifications applicable to the assigned work role may also be accepted.
- Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Team Lead, Site Lead, Task Lead, Project Lead, Deputy Project Manager, or similar supervisory role.
- At least 8 years of experience supporting ISR, communications, network, SATCOM, systems administration, cybersecurity, engineering, or mission support operations.
- Experience coordinating activities across geographically dispersed operational locations and customer organizations.
- Experience supporting airborne ISR operations, mission planning, PED workflows, or C2ISR systems.
- Strong understanding of ISR collection processes, sensor integration, and data handling.
- Familiarity with USSOCOM, Service Component, Combatant Command, or Special Operations mission environments preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, customer engagement, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel worldwide, including support to remote or austere operational locations as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
Desired Qualification
- Experience with multi-platform or distributed AISR systems.
- Understanding of systems engineering or technical integration processes.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage operational priorities.
- Prior experience in a leadership or senior analyst role within C2ISR or ISR.
- Experience supporting SOCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM, TRANSCOM, Space Force, or other Combatant Command environments.
- Experience supporting OCONUS operations and remote-site sustainment activities.
- Prior military service or experience supporting DOD customers.
