Warehouse and Inventory Manager
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Warehouse and Inventory Manager to establish and operate a project warehouse supporting Navy maintenance, sustainment, prototyping, material assurance, and logistics activities.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory accountability, receiving, storage, staging, shipping, WHE/MHE coordination, and support to project material movement requirements. This position requires extensive hands-on experience with U.S. Navy supply systems and a comprehensive understanding of Navy afloat and ashore supply, material management, requisitioning, inventory control, and logistics processes.

Job Description:
- Establish and manage daily warehouse operations for receipt, storage, accountability, staging, issue, shipment, and disposition of project materiel.
- Implement and maintain an inventory management process/system that provides accurate, auditable material records.
- Coordinate receiving inspections, storage locations, preservation, packaging, shipment preparation, and material movement.
- Manage forklift and other WHE/MHE use, maintenance coordination, safety, and operator requirements.
- Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping, access control, safety, and material handling standards.
- Support storage and staging of parts, tools, equipment, prototypes, and materials used for shipboard and technical activities.
- Coordinate with logistics, engineering, project management, vendors, carriers, and Government stakeholders regarding material status and movement.
- Use Navy supply systems and authoritative logistics data sources to research National Stock Numbers (NSNs), National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs), part numbers, sources of supply, material availability, requisition status, substitutes/interchangeability, and supply supportability.
- Manage and monitor the Navy material requisition lifecycle, including requisition initiation, validation, status review, receipt, issue, redistribution, shipment, cancellation, and reconciliation of outstanding requirements.
- Apply Navy supply policy and procedures, including MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP transactions, priority designators, project and advice codes, fund and cognizance data, controlled equipage/material requirements, repairable/DLR management, and material accountability.
- Coordinate material and supply actions with shipboard Supply Departments, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Centers, Regional Maintenance Centers, DLA, TYCOM representatives, OEMs, and other Government supply and maintenance organizations.
- Research and resolve supply discrepancies, unmatched receipts, frustrated requisitions, material identification issues, excess/shortage conditions, inventory variances, and other supply support problems affecting Fleet maintenance and readiness.
- Prepare monthly material accounting data and support inventories, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Supervise or direct warehouse/material handling personnel when assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have an Associate’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or at least 8 years of directly relevant warehouse and inventory management experience.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience managing warehouse, material accountability, receiving, shipping, and inventory control operations.
- Must have at least 8 years of directly relevant U.S. Navy supply, logistics, material management, warehouse, or inventory control experience, including substantial hands-on experience supporting Navy afloat and/or ashore supply operations.
- Must possess extensive working knowledge of Navy supply systems and logistics applications used to identify, requisition, track, receive, issue, account for, and manage material. Experience should include NTCSS/RSUPPLY or successor afloat supply systems and Navy ERP or other applicable Navy ashore supply systems.
- Must have demonstrated experience using Navy and DoD logistics research and ordering tools such as One Touch Support (OTS), FEDMALL, DLA logistics applications, WebFLIS/FLIS data, or equivalent current systems to research material, validate sources of supply, and resolve supply support issues.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Navy requisitioning and material control processes, including MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP, Uniform Material Movement and Issue Priority System (UMMIPS), requisition status, priority designators, advice codes, project codes, fund codes, cognizance symbols, repairables/DLRs, carcass tracking, inventory management, and material accountability.
- Must be able to interpret and apply applicable NAVSUP supply policy, procedures, and material management requirements in support of Fleet maintenance and sustainment operations.
- Must have demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex Navy supply problems involving obsolete or hard-to-source material, incorrect or incomplete identification data, long lead-time items, substitutes/interchangeability, requisition delays, and material availability.
- Must have experience with Government-furnished property, Government property accountability, or controlled material.
- Must have experience with electronic inventory management systems and auditable material records.
- Must understand warehouse safety, material handling, storage, packaging, and shipping practices.
- Must have experience operating or supervising forklift and material handling equipment operations.
- Must be able to organize priorities and work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current forklift operator certification or experience managing certified forklift operators.
- Prior service as a U.S. Navy Logistics Specialist (LS), Supply Corps Officer, NAVSUP civilian/contractor, or equivalent experience directly supporting Navy Fleet supply operations.
- Experience supporting a Navy ship, Regional Maintenance Center, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, TYCOM staff, or other Fleet maintenance/logistics organization.
- Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), obsolescence management, strategic stocking, allowance support, and emergent material requirements for shipboard systems.
- Experience conducting material research and supply support analysis for maintenance casualties, technical assistance, ship repair, or other time-critical Fleet requirements.
- Experience with WHE/MHE inspection, safety, and material movement planning.
- Experience supporting prototype, repair, or industrial maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with hazardous material, controlled material, preservation, and long-term storage requirements.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it.
- Must have and maintain a valid passport.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel – up to 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
