Fully Remote Control Validation Security Specialist
Are you an experienced and talented Control Validation Security Specialist who’s looking for a remote opportunity on an exciting Federal contract? We are assisting a key client in filling the role of Control Validation Security Specialist with a start date of October 1st. Our client is known for low turnover due to their great employee engagement and stellar benefits.
Overview:
This Control Validation Security Specialist will:
• Independently perform IT audits on complex information systems and applications to ensure that appropriate controls exist, are correctly implemented, and that those procedures comply with Federal and DoD standards.
• Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required.
• Perform procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information system assets and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
• Work at the highest level of all phases of information systems auditing.
• Provide technical support in vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, and security implementation.
• Conduct cybersecurity control validation exercises on both classified and unclassified networks, applications, and systems to validate the effectiveness of current security measures.
Successful candidates will have:
• Three (3) years’ experience working with DOD1 8500.2 or NIST SP 800-53 and understand the principles of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Two (2) years’ experience with eMASS
• Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, as well as Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, PowerPoint
• Strong skills implementing and configuring networks and network components.
• Possess an active Secret or higher clearance
Compensation commensurate with experience; salaries quoted include full benefits. 1099 without benefits will be higher.
