MTSI is currently seeking to hire a Data Manager to join the team in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Space-Based Interceptor program is seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to support a multi-vendor, highly secure development environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, defense data compliance, and complex multi-tenant security architectures. This role ensures that all program data-across vendors, systems, and lifecycle stages-is properly governed, protected, traceable, and compliant with Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and IL6 requirements.

Responsibilities
In this role, the Data Manager
- Reviews and validates the multi-vendor security architecture described in the program's Data Management Plan, ensuring appropriate data separation, collaboration controls, and full alignment with IL6 requirements.
- Conducts detailed compliance and gap analyses against DoD and MDA policies related to data handling, access control, logging, encryption, auditing, and vendor segregation.
- Evaluate and improve configuration management processes and end-to-end data lifecycle governance, including creation, storage, modification, distribution, and archival of data across multiple vendors.
- Requires maintaining robust traceability, accountability, and documentation of data flows and system interactions, as well as collaborating closely with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and program leadership to ensure alignment with evolving security standards.
- Supports audits, reviews, and readiness assessments related to data governance and security compliance.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree with 1 year of experience.
Technical Qualifications:
- Possess experience with DoD or MDA data compliance frameworks, including IL6 environments
- Strong understanding of multi-vendor architectures, data governance principles, and secure configuration management practices,
- Experience managing data across its full lifecycle
- Effective collaboration skills within highly regulated environments are essential.
