  • Support system integration, verification, validation, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities.
  • Review technical documentation, system requirements, engineering specifications, test procedures, and configuration documentation.
  • Assist with the development and execution of test plans, test procedures, demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
  • Support configuration management and ensure system documentation accurately reflects approved system baselines and changes.
  • Coordinate with Navy operators, engineers, government stakeholders, and industry partners to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Translate operational requirements and fleet feedback into clear technical requirements and recommendations.
  • Support technical reviews, working groups, program meetings, and customer engagements.
  • Prepare technical reports, briefings, presentations, and other program documentation.
  • Provide recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Navy policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable security protocols.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
  • Prior U.S. Navy experience as a Fire Control Technician (FT), Fire Controlman (FC), or equivalent experience supporting submarine combat or fire control systems.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex electronic, computer, weapons, or combat system equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system documentation, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with military, civilian, engineering, and contractor personnel.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Former Navy submarine Fire Control Technician or Fire Controlman with significant fleet experience.
  • Experience aboard Los Angeles-, Seawolf-, or Virginia-Class submarines.
