Job Description
Description
Are you passionate about helping organizations unlock the full potential of cloud technology? In this role, you will guide customers through their cloud adoption journey, designing technical solutions that address complex business challenges. You will combine your technical expertise with business acumen to help enterprise customers achieve measurable outcomes through cloud architecture, migration strategies, and modernization initiatives. As a Professional Services Consultant at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will work directly with customers to understand their goals, assess their current environments, and architect solutions that deliver lasting value. From presales engagements through delivery oversight, you will serve as a trusted advisor who translates technical possibilities into business results. This is a role where your curiosity, problem-solving skills, and collaborative spirit will directly shape how customers build and innovate in the cloud. Key job responsibilities - Design technical solutions for enterprise customers by assessing current-state maturity, requirements, and desired business outcomes, then defining architectures that solve for complexity, scale, and performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and customer stakeholders to drive presales engagements, identify new opportunities, and contribute to go-to-market strategies that expand customer capabilities. - Provide prescriptive guidance on cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and system design while communicating trade-offs related to reliability, security, cost, and operational readiness. - Leverage generative artificial intelligence tools and responsible AI practices to augment solution design, accelerate delivery, and improve the quality of technical outcomes for customers. - Contribute to reusable intellectual property such as reference architectures, technical content, and best practices that benefit broader customer segments and drive innovation across engagements. A day in the life You start your morning reviewing a customer's infrastructure assessment, preparing recommendations for an upcoming architecture review. By mid-morning, you are leading a workshop with a customer's engineering team, whiteboarding a migration approach that balances their timeline with operational readiness. After lunch, you collaborate with delivery consultants to ensure a smooth handoff on a recently closed engagement, then spend the afternoon refining a technical proposal for a new opportunity. Throughout, you are connecting with peers to share patterns and solutions that help the broader team succeed. About the team Our team within AWS Professional Services partners with customers to accelerate their cloud journey, turning ambitious technical goals into production-ready outcomes. We operate with a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, where every team member contributes ideas and mentors others. We are focused on helping customers adopt cloud at scale while building sustainable solutions that grow with their business. If you are energized by solving real problems for real customers and want to be part of a team that values both technical depth and inclusive collaboration, we would love to hear from you.
